10 Things You Can Do To Alleviate Boredom

Not that many of us have the time to be bored, but in case you do here is my list of 10 things to do if you are bored:

1: Gather up some friends and play D&D. It's a super fun game that takes a lot of thought, imagination, and creativity.

2: Take some pictures! Grab your kids, your pets, go to the park, even your back yard and take some photos, you'd be suprised what beauty you can find in the world with photos.

3: Play with your photos! You can find picture editing software all over the place now. You don't have to go to school to start playing with them either. Everything I do I learned myself (or through free tutorials found online or in the program itself). You can create some super stunning images just by playing around!

To see more of my digital art, go to Jayde's Little Corner Shop.

4: Browse the internet and look for interesting blogs. I've found some great blogs just in the past couple of days by browsing around.

5: Read a good book. I don't take time much anymore to read and I should. I love to read and so does the rest of my family. It's a great pasttime!

6: Make something! Grab a piece of wood and create a piece of art from it. To see how I did it go here (Part 1), here (Part 2), and here (Part 3).

7: Feed your snakes! I always find it fascinating to feed my snakes (I do not feed live animals to my snakes). It is so interesting to watch how a snake can eat something bigger than it's own head, with no hands. Really!

8: Start a blog....or if you already have one, WRITE!! If you have writer's block, try going to MamaKat's Writer's Workshop.

9: Bake a cake. (I don't bake, but I know people who do!) Or better yet...EAT the cake!!!

10: Sew... I haven't had the chance to sew lately, but I really enjoy it when I can. Here is the dress I made my daughter for pageant last year.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you don't get bored, but if you do...well at least you have some ideas of things to do.

This post was written for MamaKat's Writer's Workshop. Feel free to join in on the fun!

  1. Oh how I wish I could sew or knit!! Those two hobbies would be so much more productive than my internet addiction!

  2. I agree with the photos one, although I think I'm annoying my boyfriend by taking lot and lots of photos - I need some new subjects!

  3. My hubby used to play D&D when he was in school. We played a little some time ago but I never really got into it. The 3 of us love to read, too. My daughter almost always has a book near her. I always have one lying around that I'm reading but don't get to because I won't tear my self away from the computer sometimes. I used to crochet a bit but I have no idea where any of my hooks are. Maybe this will motivate me into finding them. (after I get off the computer...lol) Thanks for the ideas. (((HUGS)))

  5. It's been years since I played D&D. Probably a good thing too!

I'd sew, but my machine has a cam out that I hven't got around to replacing. But I could kill some time doing that instead.

  7. Sadly,I am never bored. There is never a dull moment in my house and I rarely have a spare moment to suffer from boredom. If there is nothing going on, which is hardly EVER... I sleep and rest up. I love watching movies as a pass time as well.

The last time I sewed anything was in 8th grade home ecomomics. Lol! So Sad...

I got your email. I'll respond. And Thanks!
